Creative Dyslexia Workshops

The Creative Dyslexia workshop informs what being dyslexic can mean in a practical and interactive way. I acknowledge both the challenges and strengths people with dyslexia can have and see’s it as a different way of learning.

I carried out my first workshop in March 2018 with the Creative Mentoring Programme in Paisley with Impact Arts. Since then I have held workshops in schools across Scotland and England, for Dyslexia Scotland and other cultural organisations.

I have undertaken extensive interviews and research into dyslexia, and use my artwork and these workshops to break down the stigma and misunderstanding surrounding it. My work focuses on storytelling, sharing experiences and being positive about Dyslexia.
